All meetings are at the Midland Band Club, Hallwood Road, Kettering at 7.00pm for 7.30 pm unless otherwise stated. Go to the Contact Us page to view a map.

We are always seeking speakers on fuchsia and all gardening related subjects, including wildlife etc, from within a 40 mile radius of Kettering. If you have a presentation to offer then please contact our Secretary.

January 20th 2011

The Society’s Annual General Meeting at which the officers and committee for the following year are elected. There is an opportunity for members to comment on the way the Society is being run and to ask questions. Followed by a light hearted quiz for cash prizes.

Owner of a local specialist plant nursery, Emily Mitchell will demonstrate the more unusual geranium and pelargonium cultivars as well as the  common ones grown in the UK. Sharing some trade secrets she will be encouraging her audience to make room for this worthwhile plant in their gardens.

If you have ever wondered how to grow those enormous vegetables you see on  television and at horticultural shows then this is the evening for you.  Clive Bevan, national expert, showman and winner of various competitions will demonstrate how to increase the height, length and weight of your ordinary everyday vegetable. Come along and be prepared to be amazed.
